Hugh J. Beins
Attorney
Hugh Beins' practice is devoted to the areas of collective bargaining, labor, internal union affairs, and litigation.
He represents unions and individual clients in matters before the National Labor Relations Board, in Arbitration proceedings, before State and Federal Courts, and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Beins' experience includes years as a trial attorney for the National Labor Relations Board, General Counsel to the Eastern Conference of Teamsters, and in private practice since 1980. He was an Adjunct Professor of Labor Law at the Georgetown University Law Center from 1961 until 1990. He is the recipient of the Charles Fahy Distinguished Adjunct Professor Award and The Vicennial Medal.
Mr. Beins' received his LL.B. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from Georgetown University. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and is admitted to practice before the District Court for the District of Columbia, the Third and Fourth Federal Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
